Seeing is believing. And we believe seeing and doing are the first essential steps employees of the hospitality industry must take before educating visitors about a destination.
Led by local guides from AIM Tours and our Visitor Services department, Experience Cabarrus Destination Training tours are designed to arm front-line sales and services staff members with everything visitors want to know about our area and more. Cabarrus County’s travel and tourism industry employed over 3,940 people in 2012, and Experience Cabarrus offers those who interact with visitors an opportunity to discover free knowledge, tips and resources.
Yes, free. This single-day training tour takes hospitality partners to major attractions, venues and shopping destinations at no charge. Each tour begins where a visitor’s journey should begin—inside the Cabarrus County Visitor Information Center. After continental breakfast and introduction to the Visitor Center, the tour departs at 9am making stops at must-see locations like the Dale Earnhardt Tribute Plaza, CMC-NorthEast Stadium, Historic Downtown Concord, Sam Bass Gallery and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Each tour goes hand in hand with the Cabarrus County Destination Guide—a 71 page guide complete with maps, calendar of events and more.
