Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau Achieves Destination Marketing Accreditation

Concord, NC (February 5, 2013) – The Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Julie Conforth as its new Communications Manager. Julie joined the Cabarrus CVB as a part-time Travel Counselor in May 2011 then was promoted to Visitor Services Coordinator in October 2011 and to Visitor Services Manager in June 2012.
“Julie has a true passion for our area and is dedicated to building Cabarrus County’s reputation as a tourist destination,” said Donna Carpenter, President/Chief Executive Officer of the Cabarrus County CVB. “Her transitions throughout the bureau are a direct reflection of her commitment to share all of the great reasons to visit Cabarrus.”
Conforth is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with previous experience in marketing within the motorsports industry. She has been a resident of Cabarrus County for 14 years.
